coal & lindsey
if i think about it for too long my throat burns. they are the most precious of treasures to me. each of them a gift from the good lord for me to take care of and collab with and love forever.
meg & michael : into the woods
i love my couples (big time) and these two are no exception and this fall when they say forever in front of their families under a tree at their sweet and tiny wedding i’m sure i’ll be brushing tears right off my cheek.
colin & katie
precious important people to me. if you’ve been around long then you’ve seen them before.
my little sister’s best friend—became a dear friend, a treasure in my life.
i get that solid lump in my throat when i think about all of it.
with a punch
bridal inspo for the girl who gives zero you-know-whats. a love song to pizza and disco balls and wearing socks with louboutins. doing things the way you feel. fall in.
for my sistas
i don’t know how to accurately write about hey sista. it is so special—so precious to us. a treasure. somehow it gets better each time. but what makes it so dear are the women who show up. who are open and vulnerable.
brit & kev : the desert
vast desert. dirt roads. drippy sunshine. i want to send up all the thank yous in the world for brit and kev coming into my life. and so this was the place. the first day of Hey, Sista they made the trip out and we ran around and avoided cacti and laughed and scooped up that drippy light by the handful.
rachel & christopher
crisp and cool. nobody around. just hopping from rock to rock. we laughed into canyons and tip toed along cliffs and talked (maybe too much) about vampires.
kallan & dustin : turner falls
light loosely spun out in long threads over hills and plains. great winged wind turbines turning away the minutes. and golden hour turns to blue hour. and we ate pizza and hot strips of cheese bread and laughed and talked and took the whole day.
reuben & chadney
and being there was a gift. bbq under string lights. the soft lull of music a conversation pouring from the kitchen. the creaking of a wooden deck turned dance floor.
beau & mckenzie : venice beach
I landed in LA that morning. and was with Mckenzie and beau by noon. we chatted for a while in their home about harry potter and how they fell in love. their cat hopped up beside me on the table as McKenzie finished her hair. we parked, walked a couple blocks to an empty beach. just the three of us running around under thick grey marine layer. and then back to the car, a long drive downtown to an iconic bar.
the schey fam : laguna ca
we had the dustiest dreamiest creamiest sugar light that fell in thick drippy puddles. and then just like that, coastal fog crept its way through the valleys, a rare evening treat. a gift. and we screamed and laughed and played and named trees.
