spring is well on her way, new and green and touching everything.

you can meet them in person or see a photo of them in matching onesies and know they are a perfect pair through and through. their shapes fitted together. hands and feet and arms that move together.

a 24 hour whirlwind. it included little sleep, deep conversations on a hotel room couch, chick fil a mobile ordering, a loose plan and an open map.

I landed in LA that morning. and was with Mckenzie and beau by noon. we chatted for a while in their home about harry potter and how they fell in love. their cat hopped up beside me on the table as McKenzie finished her hair. we parked, walked a couple blocks to an empty beach. just the three of us running around under thick grey marine layer. and then back to the car, a long drive downtown to an iconic bar.

the kind of clouds you dream about and want to drift away on. the kind of rain that’s so thin and misty it settles like a fog. and all the greens sang to life and those tender touches and hand brushes and laughs and heart pounds—those things just magnified times a million because good glory that soft, hazy, autumnal light. that’s not a sentence but it’s how i felt.

the sweetest cleanest spills of light and the brightest room and we laughed a whole freaking bunch and margot just kept dreaming away. all in a silvery afternoon.
