the windiest day, atop a hill in rolling-green-texas. sunshine on everything, the world was quiet and hunter made good on a promise, true to his word, 2020 would be their year.

she found Jory in Costa Rica. the surfer with the cafe. living a quiet life, enjoying what was right in front of him. and there they stayed. Under sun and palm. Falling into the slowness together.

her wild red hair, his long steps. the gentleness between them. the years that led to this.
lauren & jeremy
lauren describing the moment she knew she wanted to be with jeremy for life. and their back and forth retelling of the proposal and that first giant mountain that towered over us when we came around the pass and that perfect dreamy overcast that still allowed us to see the height and glory of the mountains circling the lake.

the very pines nodding in recognition—remembering the vows that had been shared. the ground a testimony to their faithfulness. a reminder of the choice and the joy.

a quiet evening with J and M that ended with us completely alone on a beach somewhere along the coast. the crack of those giant dusky summer waves against the shoreline. the seagulls lazily gliding and diving overhead. and that hazy drip of sun that spreads pink and warm across infinity.

if i think about it for too long my throat burns. they are the most precious of treasures to me. each of them a gift from the good lord for me to take care of and collab with and love forever.
meg & michael : into the woods
i love my couples (big time) and these two are no exception and this fall when they say forever in front of their families under a tree at their sweet and tiny wedding i’m sure i’ll be brushing tears right off my cheek.
brit & kev : the desert
vast desert. dirt roads. drippy sunshine. i want to send up all the thank yous in the world for brit and kev coming into my life. and so this was the place. the first day of Hey, Sista they made the trip out and we ran around and avoided cacti and laughed and scooped up that drippy light by the handful.
rachel & christopher
crisp and cool. nobody around. just hopping from rock to rock. we laughed into canyons and tip toed along cliffs and talked (maybe too much) about vampires.
